ABOUT
Hate speech and hate crime are rising challenges across Europe — and young people are at the heart of both the problem and the solution. UNITY is a 2-year project bringing together organisations from Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania to fight intolerance and build a stronger, more democratic and inclusive society.

Spread knowledge on how hate speech and hate crime impact vulnerable communities.
Equip schools, youth workers, and social services with fresh educational tools to prevent intolerance.
Provide victims and CSOs with practical support and a digital resource hub.
Train specialists to work directly with both victims and young perpetrators.
Launch bold awareness campaigns online and offline to inspire change.
Create lasting links between countries so we can learn, share, and act together.
What We’ll Be Doing
Over the next two years, UNITY will:
Run country studies to understand why hate happens and how to stop it.
Design and test new resources for schools and youth groups.
Pilot support services for victims of hate speech and hate crime.
Build national coalitions that advocate for better laws and policies.
Host awareness campaigns, international exchanges
A final conference to share what we’ve learned with all of Europe.
